INTRO AND BACKGROUND
During my time at Laika Studios and Cartoon Network Development, I initially came onto this production to support Character, Prop, and EFX Design. I collaborated closely with Lead Character Designer Danny Hynes on a handful of seaon 1 episodes. Shortly after, I took on the role of a background painter and worked with Art Jasmin Lai on seasons 2 and 3.

Huge thanks to Jasmin Lai, she trained me for the position as she transitioned out.
I collaborated closely with Rebecca Sugar, my art team, art leads, directors, production staff, our animation vendero studios and notably Lead Background Designer Steven Sugar. I’ll provide more details about my role as Art Director on Season 4 soon. After that, I transitioned to Disney Television Animation Development, where I Art Directed to The Owl House and also taught at the California Institute of the Arts. Additionally, I painted a few episodes in Season 5 under the Art Direction of Liz Artinian.
